Pool Price Cost Estimator
General
- 01A: Great question! It is important to know that these are not the specific numbers or quotes you would receive if you hired Sunkissed Pools And Spas to build your pool. Instead, these are the Charlotte pool builder industry numbers for fiberglass, vinyl, and plunge pools. We have gathered data from various builders, installers, and suppliers across the Charlotte metro area to provide a realistic "industry range." Our goal as a veteran-owned company is to empower every homeowner with the knowledge of what a complete pool project typically costs in our specific region, not just the "starting price" for a shell that you often see in ads.
- 02A. Our estimator provides a realistic low-to-high range based on current market data. While it’s an excellent tool for budget planning, the only way to get a "to-the-penny" quote is through a site visit and design consultation. Factors unique to your home, such as backyard slope, soil conditions, and utility placement, can only be determined in person.
- 03A. As a dual-veteran husband and wife team, we lead with the same integrity and service we practiced in the military. We don’t believe in "teaser pricing" or hiding costs to get a foot in the door. We use this local pool industry-based cost estimator to ensure you have a clear, honest expectation of the total investment from the very beginning.
- 04A. Many "starting at" prices represent the base shell only. They often exclude critical components needed to actually complete a pool, such as: Standard Equipment: Pumps, filters, lighting, and plumbing. Electrical & Permits: Necessary city/county requirements. Decking: Most base quotes only include 3 feet to 4 feet of standard concrete (broom finished); a functional patio usually requires much more. Freight & Labor: Moving the shell and the hands-on installation. At Sunkissed, we prefer transparency. Our cost estimator includes the items needed to turn a construction site into a finished backyard oasis.
- 05A. Beyond the type of pool (Fiberglass vs. Vinyl), several variables affect the total: Lot Layout: Steep slopes or rocky soil require more engineering. Decking & Coping: Upgrading from basic concrete to stamped concrete, pavers or travertine. Luxury Features: Tanning ledges, Spa spillovers, bubblers, salt systems, or water features. Temperature Control: Heaters and chillers are popular in our humid NC/SC summers. Automation: Controlling your pool, spa, and lights via your smartphone.
- 06A. This specific estimator is designed for new pool builds (Fiberglass, Vinyl, and Plunge pools). However, we are a full-service company! We have set up a couple different cost estimators on our website to help cover these other areas and provide specific, custom quotes for: Vinyl liner replacements Leak detection and professional inspections Equipment upgrades (like energy-efficient pumps or salt systems) General repairs If you need service on an existing pool, contact us directly for a tailored proposal.
- 07A. Typically, vinyl liner pools have a lower upfront cost, while fiberglass pools represent a higher initial investment but often require less long-term maintenance. In the current Charlotte market, that price gap has narrowed significantly. Our cost estimator allows you to compare ranges for both to see which fits your long-term goals.
- 08A. Yes! We proudly serve the entire Charlotte metro area and extend our services into several parts of South Carolina. If you’re unsure if you are in our service zone, just give us a call or visit our website to see the areas we service.
- 09A. If the range provided by the estimator works for your budget, the next step is a design consultation and site visit. We’ll visit your home, evaluate your lot, and provide a comprehensive, finalized proposal for your future backyard oasis.
